The short version: Lift does not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your personal data. Everything you enter into the app — your wellness journey date, mood check-ins, journal entries, and personal notes — stays entirely on your device. No accounts. No cloud. No servers. No data ever leaves your phone.
1. Who We Are
Lift is a mobile application developed and published by Novasen LLC, a Utah limited liability company. Our contact information is at the bottom of this policy.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Lift is designed from the ground up to be a private, offline application. We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Your wellness journey date or tracker data
- Your mood check-in responses or journal entries
- Your trigger tags or personal notes
- Your support person's name or phone number
- Your faith track selection or message preferences
- Your location or device GPS data
- Your usage patterns, analytics, or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostic information
- Any health, mental health, or medical information
3. How Your Data Is Stored
All data you enter into Lift is stored locally on your device using SQLite — a local database that exists only on your phone. This data is:
- Never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party
- Never backed up to Novasen LLC systems
- Never shared with any person or organization
- Fully deleted when you uninstall the app
Lift functions completely offline. An internet connection is not required to use any core feature of the app.
4. SMS and Support Person Feature
Lift includes an "I need support right now" feature that allows you to send an SMS message to a support person you have designated. When you use this feature:
- The message is sent using your device's native SMS system
- Novasen LLC does not see, store, or have access to these messages
- Your support person's phone number is stored only on your device
- Standard carrier SMS rates may apply depending on your phone plan
5. Third-Party Services
Lift may include links or references to third-party mental health support resources. These may include:
- NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) — a nonprofit providing mental health support groups, education, and resources at nami.org. If you navigate to NAMI from within Lift, you are leaving the app and entering a separate website or application.
- ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America) — a nonprofit offering free peer-to-peer online support communities for anxiety and depression at adaa.org.
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — if you initiate a call or text to 988 from within Lift, you are connecting directly with a crisis service operated independently of Novasen LLC.
Novasen LLC has no control over the privacy practices of these third-party organizations. Please review their respective privacy policies for information about their data handling. Novasen LLC does not receive any information from these services about your use of them.
Lift uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscription purchases. RevenueCat processes payment transactions on our behalf. RevenueCat may collect limited transaction data necessary to process your subscription. Please review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy for details.
6. Push Notifications
Lift sends local push notifications for mood check-in reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not require an internet connection or involve any data transmission to Novasen LLC.
7. Mental Health and Sensitive Information
Lift is designed for people navigating mental wellness challenges including depression and anxiety. We take the sensitivity of this context seriously. Because all data stays on your device, no mental health information you enter into Lift is ever visible to Novasen LLC, healthcare providers, insurers, employers, or any other party.
8. Children's Privacy
Lift is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used this app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Lift offers optional premium subscriptions processed through Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS). All payment processing is handled entirely by Google and Apple respectively. Novasen LLC does not receive, store, or have access to your credit card or payment information. Subscription management, cancellation, and refund requests are handled through your respective app store account settings.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Lift after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
11. Your Rights
Because Lift does not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. All of your data lives on your device and is fully within your control. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling Lift from your device.
